Suits Are Cool!

Whenever I speak with a mom that is about to book a session for her son, my usual response is this: "Most guys do not care, so I think an hour would probably be best, LOL!" I know that they are just doing the session for their mom and usually will tolerate the photo shoot. However, every now and then, a senior guy will actually try and let me tell you, I LOVE IT. Guys in suits are just so awesome to work with. They look sharp and dignified and actually look like they give a damn. I always try to go that extra mile when I see a guy bring a suit to his shoot. This could be grabbing some more shots with the suit or changing the lighting up to add some drama to help accentuate the suit. I have wondered if I should make it a requirement for guys to wear a suit, but I know that would drive a lot of them away, but a photographer can definitely dream. So, this is my challenge to those high school senior parents out there with boys. Get them in a suit! They may not like it at first, but the results will speak for themselves and I love seeing their confidence swell when I show them the back of the camera.
