2014 has arrived and I am super excited to see what is in store for my budding business. I just recently have upgraded some of my equipment and look forward to using it for future photo sessions. Since trying to take photography a little more seriously, I invested in a Canon T3i late in 2012. This camera is an awesome camera to begin photography with and I highly recommend it to any beginning photographer. I am glad that I started with this body, as it is much simpler to work with and as a beginner, you need to learn more about photography before you even think about upgrading your equipment. I still have the body and will pass it down to my children to let them learn from it and it will be used as a backup body as well. I upgraded to a Canon 6D and along with the body I was able to purchase a 24-105mm L F/4 lens. These are incredible pieces of hardware, but they would have been no use to me as a beginner. As a beginning photographer you need to work with the equipment you have and do not blame the quality of your work on your equipment. I have been told many times that my photos do not reflect the equipment that I work with and some people are even surprised that I used entry level equipment. To sum up, the most important part of photography is the person behind the lens, not the equipment that is being used. Have a great 2014 and keep shooting!
